Artist Commentary

If you look closely, you'll see the Red Dog Saloon in the background... It's the only sign of life in old Nevada City, Montana besides the Concord Stage Coach tearing through town.

Nevada City stands today a testament to Pioneer Montana. The Alder Gulch area was the site of a gold rush during the civil war and the "people rush" brought all types to the area, including various outlaws who formed the "innocents' or Plummer Gang. The two most feared groups were this gang and the vigilantes that dispensed "Hemp Justice".

Nevada City is now privately owned and the owners maintain the structures and encourage tourism. There is even a security force consisting of the toughest Gaggle of Geese in the state. Nevada City and it's nearby neighbor, Virginia City, (one mile away) are two of Montana's premier tourist attractions.
Yes, we know the stage lines used mud wagons during this period but the Concord was artistic license...

"Red Dog Saloon" is limited to 850 signed by the artist and numbered lithographs with 85 artist proofs. It is printed on 100% archival pH neutral paper and only the highest quality, fade resistant inks are used in reproduction. Each have been personally inspected by the artist and all production plates destroyed after printing.
